System-wide approaches to antimicrobial therapy andantimicrobial resistance in the UK: the AMR-X framework

  09 March 2024

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) poses a threat to human, animal, and environmental health. AMR-X is an AMR learning system that envisions a national network of health systems using data from routine clinical care to optimize antimicrobial use. It integrates traditional research, continuous analysis of pathogens, and clinical outcomes to drive changes in practice and outcomes. AMR-X uses data-to-action systems to evaluate routine care, drive improvements in patient and population health, target investment, and incentivize innovation. All stakeholders co-create AMR-X to protect the public from AMR threats.
